System Setup Required

Yes, I know that this has been dealt with in a few other posts, but the solutions all seem to either not be there or not working for me.

Both my website and admin are displaying the System Setup Required page. I looked in both config.php files and everything looks to be in order. I will post if someone needs to see the files.

My host is no help at all. They only tell me to uninstall and reinstall zencart. I am hesitant to do this for fear of losing the modifications I have already done. I do have a backup of the site, but still... I would like to try avoiding the uninstall "fix".

I am using version 1.3.9
It was upgraded roughly 2 to 3 months ago.

Please help. My site is completely down now.

where ipg.longfellowscoffeeco is the account name from the host not the domain. How should this be set up?

The first thing to ask is what and why did you change?
Second ask your host for the full path to your public_html folder

I would guess it should be something like:
define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/hermes/bosweb/web150/b1500/ipg.longfellowscoffeeco/public_html/*****/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/hermes/bosweb/web150/b1500/ipg.longfellowscoffeeco/public_html/');
