Open Graph DOCTYPE -- can't validate W3C

Hi guys,
I've added the open graph meta property tags to my store pages.
Trouble is, it doesn't validate with w3c validator

The DOCTYPE i'm using at the moment is

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

I've seen on other forums, to use open graph you need to use the following:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML+RDFa 1.0//EN" "http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/DTD/xhtml-rdfa-1.dtd">

My question is, not knowing anything about doctypes, will changing the DOCTYPE to the one above cause me any Zen Cart problems or should I just ditch the open graph stuff?

All thoughts appreciated!

I guess you could do this, but it's not just a matter of changing the doctype, you'll need to make extensive changes to the templates files as well. And you'll need to make changes to the way each page is built to ensure that you have the four required properties defined on every page. That's an awful lot of highly technical work. What benefit are you hoping for?

Thanks Kuroi you've just convinced me to ditch the open graph stuff!
I ditched the facebook like button months ago because it was too slow at loading...it was making my product pages take ages to load.
