FREE SHIPPING! to the UK only setup problem

Hi,

I am trying to set the option FREE SHIPPING (freeshipper) and I want to only allow people within the UK to purchase.

I have scanned through the tutorial and believe I am nearly there but am still getting the "yellow dot of doom" on the Shipping Modules page for FREE SHIPPING when I select the shipping zone to UK. If I set it to "none" it turns green.

I have the following settings which I think are relevant

PayPal - Payment Zone set to = UK

Zone Definition
Zone Name = UK Zone Description = United Kingdom (green)
Country = United Kingdom Zone = Local

Tax Classes
ID=1 Tax Classes = Taxable Goods

Tax Rates
Priority=0 Tax Class = Taxable Goods Zone = UK

I have removed all other shipping modules

All help appreciated

Hi, yellow is OK, it could be a tax issue. Mine is yellow, been working fine for years. Get someone you know to test it for you.
Have you listed all the countries you will not ship to? Do so before going live!

Thanks for that , I though it had to all be green.

No, I have not listed any countries NOT to ship to, I thought I could just select UK only and ZenCart would sort it out !

Oo er I best have a look and see where to add that before 2000 orders arrive from abroad !

Hi did you manage to sort out your free shipping?

I cannot get freeshipping. I am using free shipping options freeoptions.

I have enabled freeshipping and selected the zone UK. Nothing comes up in the basket. I am using zone rates and that rate will appear instead in teh shipping estimator.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks a lot

HI,

so I've created a Zone called 'UK' and given it a code of 'GB':

Please make any necessary changes

Zones Name: UK

Zones Code: GB

Country: United Kingdom


Then in Zone definition I have country = United Kingdom and Zone = UK in the Zone Definitions.

The yellow light is on to indicate the taxes are not defined - but I don't think I need that.

This is what I have in Free shipping options freeoptions:

But I do not got any free shipping message in at checkout.

In Zone rates, I have Zone 1 as GB. So I am expecting the freeoptions 'free shipping to override the Zone rates calculation.

There must be a flaw in this logic? Can anyone help me out?
