new to zen cart

Hey Guys..

I have not installed zen cart or anything, But i currently have open cart installed on my site. I have spent some time with it and have tired to figure it out, as per most of it i have successfully figured out.

But i have just ran into a problem that apparently has no fix to it. Here is the problem in short " it wont let customers check out, even if the product is in stock".. well we cant have that.

So i am wondering, Does Zen-Cart have a bulk uploadable option, that will allow me to use csv files to upload?

Because i have not even installed it yet.. i was just trying to get the users feedback.

There's a Zencart mod called Easy Populate that will do that.

Zen Cart in itself does not have a bulk upload function; there are at least two utilities, Easy Populate and Apsona, that are commonly used. EP does not handle CSV, but you can open the CSV file in Excel and change it to the right type of file.


Yes, there is a free version of EP that many people use - look in Free Addons above (EP v1.2.5.4 is reputed to be the most reliable).

I am currently using Apsona in Open cart, But i dont think that it's Apsona that's causing the problem. So do you think ( in your opinion, SInce your a black belt) that Easypopulate or Apsona is easier to use?

Actually, I haven't used either of them. My sites don't involve product uploading/importing. Look in the forum for comments about them.

ASucutally, now that i think about it, the only real issue that i have with open cart, is that it wont allow me to checkout products, even though it shows instock, and the only way around it is to set it to allow customers to check out even when products are out of stock, and i just want to make sure that i dont run into that problem with Zen Cart.
