Sidebox newsletter/gift certificate-How to turn off?

I do have firebug. I've been trying to learn it. I've learned to change font color and to change alignment. And I have learned a little about how to use Developers Tool Kit to change text.
I'm getting there, sloooooooowly. You notice I have been buggin' y'all a little less lately.

I have them in the order of...
1) Main Product Image
2) Attributes Module
3) Add To Cart Box

The Attributes is next to the Main Product Image but Cart Box is under the Main Product Image.

Is it more complicated to put multiple items beside the Main Product Image? Is this a case where I need to install the Column Layout Grid?

I would like attributes above add-to-cart, both being to the right of main image. That way everything is right there to place an order.

Then I would like additional images below (in a row) the main image. And title and description would be right below that. And the affitional images need to be close together.

Using Firebug I found where to change "additional images width=50%" to get the images closer together. But I can not find the file. When I enter any of the text obtained from page source, into Developers Toolkit, I get "Error: No matching Configuration Keys were found".
I'm on the right track but...

I try to turn off the Gift Certificate FAQ (remove), but it show me the following message:

Please help me
