Change displayed weight from lbs to kilos, or tons, etc?

If weight is displayed the default appears to be pounds, so how do I switch to an alternative weight standard, or will I have to edit one of the files?

using browser go to admin-> tools-> developers toolkit

in the last box on the left type in Lbs then tell it to search catalog/admin

this will give you a list of files and line numbers where this needs to be changed

Damn! And I thought it would be a simple switch somewhere in Admin. that I'd missed.

Oh well, give my eyes a rest for a few hours then back to the strain.

to change it u need to modify these files:

Line #570 : define('TEXT_PRODUCT_WEIGHT_UNIT','lbs');
