Default Issue with mixed attributes discount v1.3.9

Mixed attributes discount not applied to same item - BUG?

I consulted with a "Totally Zenned" member and with the information I provided, he believes my issue may be a BUG.

The screen shot attached is of the same item with the ink attribute being the only one that has a price and QTY discounts associated with it.
Shouldn't line two's QTY apply a mixed attributes discount providing the same discounted unit cost to line one? $13.00 not $14.00

    Cart

    line 1) - QTY 5 each XYZ Shirt - Small - 1 ink - Unit cost 14.00

    line 2) - QTY 20 each XYZ Shirt - Medium - 1 ink - Unit cost 13.00

    Attribute Qty discount
    19:0.00,29:-1.00,39:-2.00

My real-world store will have many more attributes. These screen shots are from a fresh install with no mods and the most basic attribute information for testing this problem.

I saw a bug report in version 1.3.8 that was apparently corrected so I checked my files to make sure the updated code was in 1.3.9 and it was.

Sorry I am not smart enough to have a solution. :)

You are not selling a multiple of an attribute
You are selling multiple base items

In the attribute controller, select the product then find "PRODUCTS PRICE MANAGER" and select it

You will see "Preview Only ... Current Price Status ... Preview Only"
and under it an edit button select the edit button

Find the "Add 5 Blank Qty Discounts:" and add them and configure your qty discounts

    Hi Kobra:

    Thank you for the response.

Correct, I and selling base items that in my logic when their QTYs are totaled should in fact use the lowest attribute discount cost.
The PPM does not provide the flexibility the product requires and the way I read the documentation. It does work nicely if discounts apply equally. I started there.
So, I guess I would ask why is the Attributes Qty Price Discount there for?

Maybe the matrix of my ink pricing may help, I know I am not the best writer in the world

I want to use the "number of inks" attribute and the respective discounts. I do not see a way to use PPM for this? Yes, the numbers do not match the sample originally submitted. I was using a simpler structure to make it easier to follow.

Each ink has a base cost (listed in 12-23 QTY) and unique discounting per tier. The discounts $$ are non-linear in relation to each other.

I guess back to the first question, shouldn't the attribute discounts roll up to the lowest cost to be used?

This problem has been driving me nuts. I am totally open to not understanding something or doing something stupid. I just hope to get this resolved.

    Thank you again.

I do not fully understand what it is that you are selling or how you have it currently configured

A link normally takes away the guessing

PPM discounts a single item. On a per item basis, you can calculate quantities for discounting by counting possible attribute setting individually (Discount Qty Applies to Mixed Attributes = false) or collectively. But you cannot group by a single attribute and disregard all other attributes. For example, in the Cart.jpg in your first post, you do NOT have 25 items with number of inks 1. You have 5 items with (1 ink, size small) and 20 items with (1 ink, size medium).

What you're trying to do is not supported by the current software.
