Flag New Products with in a Category?

Is it possible to have some text or an image that says, "NEW PRODUCT" on a product that has been added with in 60days when viewing a category (the product listings page)?

Also, I am using 2 mods for my cart and product listing page:

- The Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
- The Single Listing Template

Unfortunately, that add-on works with the product info page. Can someone help me get the new product badge on the product listings page?

Okay - I hadn't used that mod, but thought it looked promising.
I have a mod, finished but not yet released, that will put product icons for any of new, back in stock, special or bestseller (as desired) in product listings and other places. I can attach it here if you would like to try it.

I want to add another place or two where the icons can be shown before final submission to Free Addons. Suggestions for the most desired places would be appreciated. (It actually only takes adding one function call to a line in a file to add icons to a location.)

I'll leave this up while testing is continuing.

This would be a great addition! I finally got around to playing with it, only thing I am having trouble with is the best seller icon.

It only flags the top (#1) site-wide bestseller - was that intentional?

Also ignores Category top (#1) bestseller.

Is there a way to flag say the top 10 bestsellers?

I tried adding id via stylesheet for bestseller still no go.

I also added the code to flag featured products - works like a charm?

The bestseller feature works not by comprehensively querying the db to sort out the top whatever, but flags anything with sales over a number you set in defines. Obviously you would reset that number as your sales totals increase, to keep the quantity flagged within bounds.

It could be rewritten to be a true top 10 list, but I felt the simple high sellers flag was sufficient. It's not like you see them all at once to know that 8 or 12 or 20 are flagged.

Hi gjh42,

Did this ever get released as an addon please? It looks like just the thing I am looking for as I would love to be able to mark my product images with relevant icons should they be in a sale, new or best seller.

I have searched the free adons but cannot seem to find one that matches this...
