    Default Re: No "download" button on my Downloadable Products

    Oh My Dr. Byte, Really?

    Then I'm confused...
    I tried the original way you stated and it didn't work for me.
    No download button appeared.

    So i renamed the download folder 'download/newfoldername/'
    and put the music in there. (but for some reason, just putting it in the download folder would not work w/o that sub folder)
    But adding that sub folder brought the download button back.

    I moved all the music from the pub/download folder to the download folder.

    So now my configure file looks like this:
    define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/mynewfoldername/');

    define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

    I hope I have the paths right now because I truly do not want any security issues. But the buttons are working now.

    Thanks for your help
    ....and if this is NOT correct, please let me know.....

    Ok, it's me again....

    I was really trying to figure out how i could get my buttons to work exactly how Dr. Byte said it should and FORGOT that I did NOT change the pub/download, Back to just 'download/' in the ADMIN area, I did it for the main store configure.php but forgot to change it for the ADMIN configure.php, once I did this, i was able to delete my subfolder that I had created and now I only have this code:

    define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');
    define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

    **BUTTONS ARE THERE

    ...I JUST PRAY THE FILES DON'T DELETE THEMSELVES LIKE THEY'VE BEEN DOING when someone downloads their file. I've had to re-upload 5 times already.

    Default No "download" button on my Downloadable Products

    ZC 1.3.9d

    A customer paid for a downloadable product via a PayPal e-check. Now that the check as cleared PP, her download page is showing no download button and has an expiration date of 12/12/2011. I have no expiration date on any of the downloads.

    Unlike the other request here, all of the products show the correct size and have been downloaded many, many times both before and again since.

    I tried toggling the status from Pending to Update thinking that might trigger sometime. Any ideas?

    If you go to that Product, do you see the Download file with the green icon?

    If you go to her order, do you see the Download listed on the Product such as:
    Products Model Tax Price (ex) Price (inc) Total (ex) Total (inc)
    1 x Unreal Tournament Linked $89.99 $89.99 $89.99 $89.99
    - Version: Download: Windows - English
    Can you check that your download image is working for the button? Example: mine is at:
    /includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english/button_download.gif

    Have you tested an order with this Product and download on it on your own account?

    if you go into phpMyAdmin and browse the table:
    orders_products_download

    do you see the download filename listed for that Order's orders_id in the table?
