booking system

Hi
this shop i'm sorting the customer wants an on-line booking system for it.
basically they offer parties so they want something with a calendar and a booking system where ppl can check if that date is available and book on-line.

any ideas pls if not i'll have to sort it via the home page

although it says don't install on a live site and the support thread doesn't exist but hey ho it's worth a try

You may be better off with an actual booking system vs a shopping cart.

You could try an open source approach like phpScheduleIt, or a hosted option like Checkfront or Bookfresh -- depending on the service being booked.

I would agree with canucknz... ZC will be difficult to code for a booking system.

Some years ago I did a couple of Joomla sites, using a plugin called JOMBOK. Whether this is still available I don't know, as we seldom work on Joomla platforms these days... There was another called JOMRES.

Both were capable of running quite sophisticated booking systems, and taking payment.

well i tried the phpscheduler one and it didn't do anything that i wanted it to unfortunately

all i want is a calendar that customers can look at to see if their date/time is available and then be able to book it and then pay a deposit via paypal

I have installed this and it seems to do what i want sort of
it basically gives you a calendar on the side which when a date is booked it turns red.
the dates can only be booked by admin which isn't too much of a problem

i'd like it if customers could book dates but hey ho

fairly easy to use but 1 problem i have got is
the header for the box which says 'events calendar (more) takes you to a page that doesn't really do alot

does anyone know how to change the settings for this please?
or disable it completely as i've managed to change the text at the bottom which says 'check available dates'
