Issues with custom import of products + categories - getting 404 error pages?

Hello,


I am attempting to import a large CSV file of products with extended product data (categories, etc...)

I have successfully imported the CSV into mysql tables and imported from the custom tables to zen_cart

- categories -> description + parent mapping
- products -> prodid + descriptions + images

currently the products will display for all category browsing pages
(ie: I see current numbers next to category name & can see a list under specific category)

though on the front end and admin side individual product pages bring up 404 errors

The csv most likely is not constructed in the ZenCart format

Each item needs to have an unique ID - - then there is cat to products - - etc

You need to structure it in the correct format

The easy populate 3rd party module is what many use
There is a wiki article that outlines using it
