I'm simply setting up my first cart and I want to restrict access to my cart as I'm selling photo's.

    Customer Authorization: filename
    Customer Authorization filename
Note: Do not include the extension

    Those settings mean:

0 is your normal site - I find you on Google., I come to your site, I surf and see everything with prices and life is good.

1 - your items are hidden behind a veil. If I want to see what you have for sale then I need to create an account (the first time) and login (every time) just to see what you've got for sale. I'm not sure when you'd want to do this but if you think you've got something super special that people will give you their personal info just go get in the door, then go for it. I'm easily distracted though and if you want me to sign up just to see what you're selling, I'll go elsewhere.

2 - they can look to see what you've got for sale, but if they want to know what it costs then they have to login. I can go to Google and find it for sale elsewhere quicker than logging in, but if your price is super pinky-swear secret, then go ahead and hide it.

3 - You're just showing off items, they're not actually for sale. It's a showroom, a gallery, keep the customers wallet in their pocket and you can be bankrupt in a week. (There are actually some good scenarios for using this one but not if you're selling the same old stuff ten thousand other sites on the net are).

For the second part of your question - you're selling photos, you probably don't want to hide all traces of the photo because not many people will buy a pic unseen. You may be thinking of preventing people from saving copies to their computer (disablng right click and all that). If so, then check out this thread:
