Default FTP my offline to blank online server?

Good day all the Zen masters.

Firstly thank you for helping... I wend down the list last night to see if I could help some of the new zenners with some easy questions but I found that I did not know the answers ether. This is what makes you special and I think not enough people thank the Zen masters.

Now for my problem. I yesterday using FTP deleted everything on my server... This was stupid as I also deleted all the files needed by the server to run. Gridhost had to reset my domain lol.

Now I have a domian and I have my offline Wamp site. I want to FTP the files to the online server to allow things to run like on the offline server.

I however do hot know where to put all the files? does it all (admin, cache, docs, emails ect...) go under public_html or www folder on my server? or even just on the root directory?

I got the article 100 and read it but um I dont understand it lol. PLZ help.

    Thank you

Yes and that is the web root of your site BTW

Don't forget to edit the 2 configure.php files and you will need to create a DB on the server to use and receive a backup from your WAMP DB

I copied all of it into the public_html folder but it told me:

This is your first time using Zen Cart™ and you haven't yet completed the normal Installation procedure.
If this is the case for you, you will need to upload the "zc_install" folder using your FTP program, and then run zc_install/index.php via your browser (or reload this page to see a link to it).

So on and so forth as if it was a first installation. is this because of the DB? How do I make the Data Base? and what two configure files do I edit? and what do I have to edit in them?

    Yes
How do I make the Data Base?
Ask your host and write down the resulting user name, DB name, user pass
and what two configure files do I edit?
    There are only 2
    includes/configure.php
    your_admin _folder_name/includes/configure.php
and what do I have to edit in them?
