Default "Recover password" doesn't work when I select my custom template

Hello,

I'm setting up a customized Zen Cart template at:

http://sacauntos.com/index.php

New users can create an account successfully, but if they forget their password and ask a new one via the "forgotten password" form, the one sent to their email doesn't work.

However: if I select the 'classic' template, instead of my custom one, the reset password form does work. Without any other changes necessary.

I am at a complete loss as to what to do or where to begin looking. I suppose some files of the custom template are doing nasty things, but I can't figure which one -- there aren't that many. See, this is the listing of the contents of include/templates/sacauntos:

.:
common
css
dir
fonts
images
kaka
sideboxes
template_info.php
templates

./common:
html_header.php
tpl_footer.php
tpl_header.php
tpl_main_page.php

./css:
CSS_read_me.txt
print_stylesheet.css
stylesheet.css
stylesheet_css_buttons.css

./images:
centerheader-background.png
fondo-header.png
fondo-header-velho.png
fondo.png
header-background.png
header_bg.jpg
header-compra.png
header-sidebar-background.png
logo.gif
precios-background.png
scr_template_default.jpg
tile_back.gif
translucent-background.png

./sideboxes:
tpl_languages.php
tpl_login_box.php
tpl_search.php

./templates:
tpl_modules_main_product_image.php
tpl_product_info_display.php
tpl_products_next_previous.php

Could anyone help?

BACKUP first, then try deleting the following file from your custom template folder:

/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_password_forgotten_default.php

See if it works then. If so, you've got an error in that file and you can start comparing that to the one in /template_default/ to see what's wrong.

Hello Jackie -- thanks for your answer!

I have checked where you told me to, but my template doesn't have a "tpl_password_forgotten_default.php" (you can see the full list of files in my template folder in my previous post).

Just to be sure, I did copy that file from template_default into my template, but it didn't work either.

Any other suggestions?

Ok, you can remove the one you copied over. Zen Cart will use the one in template_default if there isn't one in your template folder. Anything put into your /YOUR_TEMPLATE/ will "override" the default. See more info here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=230

Try copying a few words of text from the forgot password email, then search for that in Tools > Developer Toolkit. That will pinpoint where the email is being created.

Also, try searching through your files for all /YOUR_TEMPLATE/ overrides in your website. There may be a file somewhere, maybe in modules or classes, that would control part of the password process - perhaps there's something wrong in one of those files.
