admin > order.php is not sending emails (using Google Checkout and COWOA)

When someone makes an order the email confirmation works fine.
so does the tell a friend.

But when i update an order no matter which radio button is checked,
no matter if "Append Comments" is checked or not. i get the open padlock and it is indeed viable and does not send emails.

I run

Zen Cart 1.3.9h
Database Patch Level: 1.3.9h

I have several sites with the same problem - any help would be greatly appreciated


PS if needed i will create a demo website for testing

Lots more info would be helpful. PHP & MySql versions? Mods? Was this a sudden occurrence?

Do the mods match on all affected sites?
Look for the common factors and start turning them off to see which might be causing this.

i'm testing now a clean install w/o all addons

Its the combination of the 2 addons COWOA and Google checkout

I'm working now to combine the 2 order.php and not mess up the email features (i got it to work fine w/o the email stuff)

did any one actually made it work?

I kinda suspected those were butting heads.

Might want to winmerge the two to see which files are fighting with the site. I wager you'll find both using a couple of common files.
