confused with new template

I am in the process of setting up a new zen cart store to replace my very old one dating back to 2004.

My site is located at http://www.handmade-scrunchies.com/

and I recently applied a template I liked the look of, I installed it as instructed, however the titles for all the buttons are now in a strange format. Also, for some reason the store is no longer displaying a banner, which I have verified is in the correct location, and in fact looks correct when I pull it up manually by typing the path to it in the address bar.

Any suggestions?

because all of yours are missing I would guess that it is

10% of the time it's because you've failed to upload the language file altogether, and thus the define is missing

Looks like problem with english language file

Not a template issue, I'm afraid. Looks like you're missing some languages files. Indeed, probably the main main language file english.php from the includes/languages folder.

I fixed it, I had to reinstall the entire store, but it corrected quite a few problems I was having.

Now on to another issue, how can I get rid of the sponsors side box, and the have you seen side box?

Those should be settings in Tools > Layout Boxes Controller.
