    Well they fixed it!!!!! I think. They removed the change made in the apache config and I can edit files again.

    They said they have done a redirect in the cpanel instead.

    Just a quick question. Is the https only set to activate at the customer login and checkout stage, and at the admin login stage? So after you have logged in to the admin it goes back to http?

    Is this correct and the way you would suggest to leave it?

    Unlike your hosts, zencart has the intelligence to know when SSL is important, and when it is not.

    SSL slows the site down a bit, and is only necessary when sensitive data is being transmitted. Otherwise it's better to have it off - and Zc knows when to do both.
