Can someone please help? Quantity Issues - Please

I have tried to find this solution but so far unable.

Ok. I have the newest version of zen cart and multiple products.

One product in particular is critical to the site.
I would like to either pull how many are remaining or bought to a different part of the site that is not ran on zen cart.

How could I do this using PHP?
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions.


Just to make things completely clear.
All I want to pull is the number remaining or bought. Nothing else, just the number.

If I could pull both that would be best.

Any help is much appreciated.

You're going to have to write some custom logic that connects to your database and queries the products table for the products_qty field for the product_id in question. Without the Zen Cart framework you're going to have to use native PHP MySQL calls. It's not a huge deal, it's just outside the framework of the customizations most people reading this site would do; that's why you aren't getting a lot of responses.

Do you need to have the information elsewhere on the site so others can see it? Or would it be sufficient to just view it within your Admin? If the latter, maybe one of the admin mods -- perhaps Apsona or Super orders -- will do what you want.

I need this to be shown on the site itself not in the admin area.

Does anyone know how to do this.
I tried a few different ways but always end in error when trying to do this.
