Hello,
Simple analytics is requiring me to find the .html_header.php file to copy/ paste code right before the </head> tag. However, that file is not available with my template.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

Any suggestions? Thank you.
1) Find the html_header.php file
2) create a folder with the name of your template at the same level as it,
3) Copy the html_header file into this new directory.
4) Congratulations you have just created a file override
5) go into the new directory and edit the html_header file there with your simple analytics changes

No offense, but I get the feeling you don't want to be here, so don't.
@everyoneelse I still need help.

Problem solved. Didn't use advice above. Apparently, my template pulled files from the "template_default."
I apologize for being rude; 99/100 of the times I come here, the people on this forum are absolutely helpful, Haredo and everyone else. But I just felt this guy had no interests in actually helping solve my problem.
So, thanks again all!
Actually the advice given was correct. You should not edit template_default files directly. You should make a copy of them in your custom template's folder and edit them there.
That's WHY template overrides exist. Template_default files are used automatically when you don't have a customized version of a given file.

There can be no more helpful a guy on this forum than Nigel, whose advice was not only 100% accurate, but was delivered to you in a way that explained as simply as possible how to go about it. AND he replied within an hour of your request.
Good to see that you apologised - but what on earth caused you to think he was not being helpful? I find that very odd.
Nigel... please carry on giving your advice on the forum. The rest of us are extremely grateful for your expertise.
