I have a total of 20 websites running on a shared server at godaddy.com that have developed this issue in the last 24 hours. I really doubt that I am the only person with this problem. I called them and they said there was nothing they can do for me. I really need a solution to this problem ASAP.
This solved my problem:
Use "SMTP" for your Email Transport setting instead.
Set your SMTP Email Server address to: relay-hosting.secureserver.net, and the Mail Server Port to 25
You can probably leave the SMTP mailbox and password fields blank
We use GoDaddy too - and our email stopped working in Zen Cart around the 23rd of July as well.................strange!!!
Ask your host what they changed.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
Without warning or notification they barred the use of PHP Mail or Sendmail (which are linked anyway). Site owners now have to use SMTP.Ask your host what they changed.

I am using all the currently accepted settings for GoDaddy email and ZenCart - but still having issues. We don't get email confirmation for all orders - only some. And all of this without me doing anything to change the cart - totally out of the blue and frustrating!
My biggest issue at this time is the fact that NOT everyone on the Send Copy of Order Confirmation Emails To list is getting their email.
I have three email addresses, all godaddy "domain" addresses seperated by a , and yet, they suddenly stopped getting their emails. Only one address will - but not all three. AND a different email address each time. WTF?
Last month all three were getting confirmations - but not anymore.
Help!!
Current Email Settings:
smtp

smtp email account pasword - yes
relay-hosting.secureserver.net
port 25
LuciStuff - sorry but we can't help you with this. This is a problem created by GoDaddy and not a Zen Cart problem. You need to take it up with GoDaddy Support.
