Order processing - need advice - drop shipping

Hi,

I am planning to start my online stone within few days and given that I don't have any prior experience with zencart or any other cart, thought I should get an expert's opinion...

Here is a short scenario:
my users would have an option to select product through my store and checkout.

once my users will pay for the product, I would have to send the request (somehow) to my suppliers to take care of the order... I have one big supplier that I am going to work with but there are few others as well...

Is there a way (you may suggest an alternate option as well) that when a certain set of products are ordered then an email be generated with only order information (with no charges information) directly to the supplier...?

You have to options of the same mod. Drop Ship Purchase Order

Or there is a commercial version of the same module available on the developer website that has more features and is 1.39 compatible out of the box.

Note: if you do use the free one you have to read that module thread as there are some changes needed to make it 1.39 compatible.

I personally use the Free version which does what I want but some users do recommend the Commercial version. Your Call!

will "drop ship purchase order" addon work even if the customer is going to checkout directly through paypal express checkout, without creating an account...?

Yes, it doesn't matter what payment customer use. You have to manually select the orders and send them to the dropshipper.

I have been using it for years with no problem.

I am not sure if the free version has the automated option or not but I find this invaluable because now it's automatic which is awesome!

Hi,

I am back as I do have couple of hiccups with the Drop shipping purchase Order addon...

It's not working for me... can you please take a look at the attached configuration and advice...

I am using 2CheckOut merchant services, and I can see that when customer places an order it creates an order in zencart but no emails are generated for vendor...
