HTTP 500 Error when accessing admin area after adding language pack

Hello All,

I have a fresh installation of v1.3.9h

I have a few categories created just for testing and yesterday I started the customization of the shop. Last thing I did was to install a language pack. I configured it in the admin area, made it as default, etc, and checked it on the shopping cart.

Today, when trying to log in to the admin area again I get a

HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

when I access my admin area URL.

My first thought is that with the new language pack instalation I may have some files missing in the admin area. I checked via FTP and everything seems to be there.

The DB is working fine because the shopping cart itself is working fine. I can browse the several categories, etc.

Any ideas on where to start looking?

when does it happen, at the login page or after login?

check the url (case sensitive)


make sure the admin/includes/configure.php has the correct admin URL
(3 times on the page)

if you enabled ssl try it with out it

a HTTP to HTTPS redirect (in server or .htaccess) may cause this
the same goes with www to non www redirect

It's solved now.

I actually had files missing in the admin/includes/languages for the new language installed.

Everything fine now. :)

eVelt, the problem as that I couldn't get the login page, but it's solved now. Thanks!
