    Default How are UPS shipping quotes derived?

    I had a different shopping cart installed which required the use of my xml code to set up rate quotes for UPS, I noticed with Zencart, quotes are obtainable without entering my ups account xml information.

    How does zencart access the ups information?

    The UPS module you find in v1.3.x and older pulls generic UPS rates from the UPS servers based on the zip code and number of packages and their weight.

    There is a UPSXML addon that can be used instead to plug in your UPS Account information and get customized quotes unique to your specialized terms/arrangements.
