Default "Add to Cart" Quantity Box Always = 1

I'm using v1.3.9h, and I'm currently customizing my products page layout. At some point, while re-arranging my "add to cart" box, I inadvertedly broke the "add to cart quantity" box. Regardless of the number of units a customer chooses, only 1 unit is added to the customer's cart.

I know this is a problem I caused at some point, but I can't figure out what I've done. I've been using WinMerge to compare my backups to my edited files, but I haven't found the problem. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of what I might have screwed up, or if someone can at least point me in the right direction so I know where to look?

    TIA!

(And while I'm at it, I was trying to remove "X Quantity in Cart" from the "Add to Cart" box when I caused this problem. I was able to remove the text "Quantity in Cart," but I still see "X" on product pages where the product is in the cart. Does anyone know where that's defined?)

I'd replace the file you edited with a fresh unedited copy and then go to Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout -
    Show Quantity in Shopping Cart
and set it to False, then see if things work.

Thank you for the quick response! The problem is, I'm not exactly sure which file to install from backup -- my cart is heavily modded layout-wise, so I was trying to avoid re-installing all of the files from backup and then having to start over again. Do you have any idea which file I would need to reinstall? tpl_product_info_display, maybe?

That's probably the one - around line 94.

Okay, I just uploaded tpl_product_info_display from a clean, untouched backup... and now I have duplicate add-to-cart boxes. The strange thing is, the second add-to-cart box works the way it should -- it's acknowledging the number of units entered and adding it to the cart -- but the first one doesn't. And the box only appears in tpl_product_info_display once.

    I think I broke my cart :\

It's nowhere near finished, so please excuse the mess ;)

This is a link to one of the product pages, where you can see the duplicate buttons -- the first button is the one that isn't working correctly:

    http://www.ninthandpark.com/store/in...&products_id=5

ETA: the duplicate button was coming from the tabs in the product description -- no idea -- so now it's down to just the original non-working button.

The box that's there now works for me. It's something that's been changed a lot by your template. You could use the Developers Tool Kit to search for productsAddButton . That's not a stock Zencart class name.

"productsAddButton" is a style id that I defined to float the buttons, it shouldn't be affecting the add to cart function?

Thank you SO much for looking into it for me! I'm wondering if the duplicate add-to-cart box was causing the problem, because you're right -- as soon as I removed it, the button starting working properly. In any event, it seems to be working just fine now, so THANK YOU! :)

And sorry for the delayed response -- we're in the middle of switching from DSL to cable, so there was a gap in our Internet service ;)
