Hi I would like to know if it is possible to remove the sidebars from the home page only.

Make a copy of tpl_main_page.php for your template and read the commented section of that file

Ok I have read it and tried to uncoment what I thought I should. Have been trying to do this for a week now. Have asked this question in other posts with different headings and I get the same answer every time. Can someone tell me how I am supposed to do this?

Never mind I finally found it in yet another search. Everyone kept telling me to read and edit but in the post below it has me add one thing to make it work.
