Left side box

I want to place an image and text in the area on the left-hand column, see the link, where currently you see the categories box. So in other words, I want to replace that categories box with possibly a banner created for her with an image and shipping info. Any idea how to do this?

Also I cannot find anywhere how to turn off the "filter results" box in the center top.

Check the Free Software Add Ons for the Blank Sidebox mod. You can put any content you want in there. You could also use one of the banner sideboxes - Admin - Tools - Banner Manager.

You can add additional sideboxes ( available in the downloads section of the forum) The blank sidebox mod will allow you to an image and/or text.

open you Zen Cart admin interface:

admin -> configuration -> product listing -> Include Product Listing Alpha Sorter Dropdown (set to false)
