Default How can I make my store match my preferred template?

    Hello.

I have a Joomla site and have recently added Zen Cart. I love my site template but am struggling to find a Zen Cart template that matches my site.

I suppose the standard solution would be to purchase the closest one, then modify it as needed.

Part of the solution will be removing a lot of the Zen Cart items such as the header, footer, navigation, etc. that is duplication of what I already have for my site. It will wind up being a lot of hacking it seems.

This seems to be a common need for any site that is integrating Zen Cart into a CMS. Is there any form of template bridge that will perform this function? I did locate one but it hasn't been updated in over a year and I am not confident that it works or the author is still around.

I do not believe that there is a working bridge available

This is mostly for security issues and you should seriously consider that for the sake of your customers and yourself

Joomla hacks are abound - - but being that most sites are only informational it is not a large issue

As kobra said, most Joomla sites are just informational, so often there isn't any reason to have visitors create accounts. In that case, what I've done is find a Joomla template I like, then install Zencart in a subdirectory and style it to look like the Joomla site, using the same header image, etc. without trying to 'embed' it.

Depending on the complexity of your site, you might also take a look at just using Zencart as your CMS - lots of possibilities using EZ pages.
