Idea or Suggestion Using Ogone for ZenCart payments possible?

    Hi everybody,

I just started exploring ZenCart. I see it is possible to do payments with iDeal and CreditCard, but is there an add-on for paymentprovider Ogone?

    Thanks,
    Jeroen

    Nope. It's not implemented yet.

Only option is to use the commercial implementation of Ogone in ZenCart.

    Thanks for this contribution!
However the Post Sale handling is missing from this module.

I created my own payment module for Ogone, but including a Post Sale script and I experienced the same issue (that the orderid is empty).

The flow of Zen Cart is [order confirmation page] ->
[website of payment provider Ogone] -> [checkout success]

The orderid will be created during the [checkout success] step.
When a customer is directed from [order confirmation] to the [Ogone website],
the orderid is not yet known and therefore not passed to Ogone.

I created a zen_ogone table which is updated with the Ogone feedback response that is retrieved by the Post Sale script.
How can I create a temporary orderid that will be passed to Ogone and can be linked to the orderid during the Post Sale feedback?

Someone else contributed an Ogone payment module:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82753
However it does not have Post Sale handling (yet?).

Peter, this is a tough one. It is possible to find out what the last order id was and add 1 to that. The problem with this is if you have a number of people ordering at the same time you run the risk of:

    a) They all have the same order id.

    b) You apply an order id that gets used by someone else.

As there is no audit trail back from ogone to tie up payments to orders at their end what I would suggest is supply an alternative order id which is made up of the customers id and a datestamp. This will supply ogone with the order id they are looking for and give the store owner a way to reconsolidate a payment against an order.

Anyway, let me know if you make your ogone payment mod public- I'll request mine to be taken down- it was only done to help another ZenCarter out and you are in a better position to code and test than I am.
