help question Admin Folder Renaming Gone Awry

Obviously I'm a complete ######## since I can't figure out simple instructions, so I need your assistance in shedding light on my situation.

I am attempting to build a clean version of a Zen Cart shop here: http://174.122.140.200/~nwstaple/ Looks fine. Then, when I clicked the link to go to the admin area I received the instructions to change the folder. I thought I followed the instructions carefully, but I guess I didn't because when I go to http://174.122.140.200/~nwstaple/site_admin/ I get a blank cpanel page / 404 error.

I have the permissions set up, I have the name changed in configure.php as instructed ... is it simply me being on the test server? If so, how can I change this so I can get this guy up and running?

Have you tried adding index.php to end end of your URL incase you have directoryIndex setting off

Are you sure that you haven't used any capital letters in your directory name

Yep. Tried adding /index.php and nope, no caps. Could it be the underscore?

I know it is the most obvious thing to ask, BUT

Have you tried actually downloading your admin configure file off the server on to your local computer and checking the settings inside it are correct?

I have seen a number of cases where because of the permissions on the server file, it doesn't actually get overwritten (nor do you get given an error message) when uploading your amended file

Maybe rename it again to a single word to lose the underscore, which I'm pretty sure is valid in a folder name

Stick a HTML page in the folder with a line of text, and then load that page with your new url, if that works then you know your URL for admin is fine, and that the problem is down to something else, your configs, remember there are two of them to change
