    Default PayPal Payment quirk

    When someone tries to use the PayPal payment method they get this error;

    You have changed the items in your cart since shipping was last calculated, and costs may have changed. Please verify/re-select your shipping method.

    even though nothing was changed. There is no way out of this, just creates an infinite loop.

    Was this a new install or an upgrade? Which PayPal module?

    I can't find any way to recreate the problem, so I can't offer a fix.
    On a fresh clean install, I can add items and go through checkout without ever triggering that problem.

    Dr Byte:

    Same issue here on 1.5. Using dual shipping - domestic is free/international is per item shipping.

    PayPal is on an infinite loop - issue is coming from the payment module and I know this because PayPal took a look at the API. Is there a patch for the PayPal express payment module?

    The previous poster was getting a loop with an error message saying the cart contents had changed. Is that exactly the same as you're getting?
    If so, then you've modified core code related to shopping_cart and so on.
    If not, then please answer all the Posting Tips which show above the Reply box when you click the Reply button below. And be sure to include detailed steps I can use to exactly replicate your symptoms on my fresh clean new uncustomized v1.5.1 install.
