You started with 15 products in the cart ... and it was really slow ...

Now, if you have the 15 products in the cart and the Cart Totals off ... how does it "feel" to you ...

I am not following which times were with what ... the goal being the 15 Products in the Cart and let's just test things 1 at a time to see what helps speed things up etc.

the problem arises, in this case when i enter 8 items with the attributes. At that point, i cannot go to checkout. If i look at the cart it will not fully load and seems to freeze.

I deleted one item with attributes and was able to fully load the cart. If i put the item back in the cart, i cannot fully load the cart again and cannot proceed to checkout.

I have customers right now that have more than 8 items in their carts totaling $1K and over who cannot "checkout" because the system freezes up due to the amount of attribute products in the cart. If i load products without attributes, I can put about as many in the cart as I would like with no problem at all.

So, I set the freight quote in the shopping cart to "0" (don't show) and uninstalled all shipping modules that are not normally used and this allowed the products to list out in the Shopping cart with a parse time of:

If I try and go to "checkout" with this cart, it goes to a blank white screen with a url of xxx...main_page=checkout_shipping and that is it...

I used a real customer's cart which has 17 lines in it with 13 of them containing up to 10 attributes each.

Still cannot check out...any ideas?

Make sure that each of your attributes is set to "No" for "Apply Discounts Used by Products Special/Sale" (unless you need that function); that will cut the database requests significantly.

Issue remains unresolved.

We are working with shipping and quotes to try and resolve. customers still cannot checkout with a large number of attributed items in cart. The checkout process just freezes up.

If anyone has any ideas, we will be glad to look into them.
