Copy Attributes to multiple categories?

Is there a way to copy attributes of one item to ALL items and ALL sub categories in a main Category?

Example:

I have the Category Shoes (which has ZERO items in it, just sub categories with items i them per the required structure on ZenCart)

In that Category are twenty sub Categories, some with their own sub categories and even more subs in those.

I want to be able to assign an attribute to one item, then copy that attribute to EVERY item in EVERY sub category in the main category SHOES with one click.

Is that possible using some user friendly add on mod? I am not wanting to edit the database outright. I usually end up messing it up that way. I also don't want to use the CSV type import method. There are over 9K items
