Coupons all say expired on checkout

add-ons:
Easy Edit Orders
Admin login as cust
Add customer from Admin
Tax Exempt

I just installed v 1.3.9h and I've tried to enter a coupon code, but no matter what I put as the expiration date it tells me that "This coupon has expired" on checkout.

I've tried moving the start date back a few days, the expiration date is set for Oct. 1. 2011. No restrictions.

Any ideas?

If you click on the Coupon in the Admin, what do you see in the right panel?

I thought it was the expiration date since when I first did the coupon it said 10/1/2001 instead of 2011 but after correcting that it stills says expired.
