locked out! help needed for complete novice

i'm so hoping someone can help me here.
i can't get into the admin area? i don't even know what adress i'm meant to be typing into the adress bar?
it's obviously not what i thought it was - so frustrated!!
please help

You'll have to know the name of the admin folder. Then it will be www .yoursite.com/nameoftheadminfolder.

If you didn't install Zencart, ask your host, or use your FTP program to look at your folders.

Do you have the admin user name and password ?

This is the directory structure of zen cart:


So open up your FTP programm or filemanager and have a look on the server.

cache, docs, downloads, editors, email, extras, includes, media, pub and zc_install are not the admin folder, the one left on your server should be it.

i am starting again from scratch
so far, i've uploaded zencart to FTP
i need to change the word "admin" to something else? and delete zc_install?
