Well??? Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and still sub 1 second query times.
I din't do a thing, what did the host do to make such a difference?

Probably just turned the finger-pointing back toward themselves and did something about it. Of course they'll probably never fess up to what exactly they fixed lest it embarrass them.
