I've run it on everything from 1.3.7 onwards without any problems, so you should be fine.

Hi, i've installed the mod om my local pc, which has 1.3.9.
I seem to be having the same problem as, mi16chap. in that the shipping estimator just say rates.
i have disabled my other shipping modules.
I have checked and double checked everything, but just can't see where i am going wrong.
i had zone rates set up which works. if i reinstall it, it shows but not the rmfirstrecorded.
Store location i have as UNITED KINDOM.
Zone: local

Country of origin: UNITED KINDOM
ISO codes (2) GB, (3) GBR
All my weights are in Kgs

Hi, installed the first class module and it worked, so i removed the reinstalled the first class recorded module and that also work.
removed the first class module and the recorded module is still working.

Hi, Chuckl, the reason the module did not show is that i set a "min value to ship". I set it to 1 and the module was disabled, same for 10. The only way the module would show is if i left it at 0.
Also, the insurance charges do not show in the shipping estimator, where i suppose it should show up?

I have been trying to set up royal mail shipping for a few hours and I want to bang my head to the wall as I can't seem to do it.

For some reasons when I add product which weights 0.1kgs I get the following shipping to UK:
Royal Mail 1st Class Standard (Delivery Weight : 2 packages of 1.55 Kg's (Ships normally within 1 to 3 days))

I have set up my post code and everything.. I tried changing max shipping weight from 1.5 to 15 still same...

Also it seems that I can't pick any shipping method before paying with paypal checkout button? I think I won't get many customers that way. Is there any way to take shipping method see total amount and then go to paypal to pay?

EDITED: I finally figured it out, I just changed default stupid value of 0:3 to 3:0 in packaging weight.. But what about paypal?

Follow the installation instructions, specifically where it says -

(In Configuration - Shipping/Packaging)

4. Edit the Package Tare and larger Packages settings, also in Configuration-Shipping & Packaging, to reasonable values for your store. If you don't know what ARE reasonable values, at least change the Package Tare to 10:0 or similar. This will remove one of the most common Zen Cart shipping problems - all packages being 3kg or 3lbs too heavy.

The default Zen Cart setting is 0:3, which adds 3lbs or 3kg to every item. That's why it MUST be changed before shipping methods with a max 2kg limit will work.
