how do i increase the length of the option name and option value fields

using: v1.3.9h

I need to add a few spaces to the option name length. I cannot figure out how to do it. I have searched the forums and can't find it either.

I'm guessing it has to be done in SQL and I can do that if pointed to the right place. If it can't be done, please let me know that too. I'm guessing it can somewhere/somehow because it knows how long to make the fields when they're displayed in Admin.

You should be able to change it in the product_options table in the database using phpMyAdmin. You really need option names longer than 32 characters ?

NOTE: Be aware ...

if you increase the length of the Option Name for the field:
products_options_name

in the table:
products_options

you need to increase the length of the field:
products_options

in the table:
orders_products_attributes
