Foreign characters in delivery address

Hi,

When a customer uses foreign characters in their address, it gets displayed as funny symbols in delivery address (in admin and order confirmation email). However, the same address does get displayed correctly in billing address and customer address.
For example, nº 21 3º izquierda will become n� 21 3� izquierda

How do we fix this error?

I get the same thing, it seems particularly bad from orders through Paypal Express Checkout but I can't explain why it only causes a problem in the delivery address and not the others. (Actually in 90% of cases thats true, but in some cases the other addresses are broken too).

Does anyone have any clues on this?

Any solution, I am facing the same issue.

In some areas I used to get the same funny characters. What I did was I found the source file of the addresses, copied them to my computer,opened them with Notedpad ++, changed encoding (pull down menu on top) to "Encode in UTF8 without BOM", saved it and loaded it back to where I copied it from.

Its just somewhere in the chain of data being passed along from/to Paypal is not dealing with the encoding correctly, so it gets mangled.
Is your cart/database all utf-8?
Mine is and I have no problems with Paypal Express (spanish site).
