It looks like a template issue. Can you find, in the template you are using, the settings for the red bar and the settings for the gray bar?
If they show a percentage like 95%, does changing to 100% fix anything?
Most importantly look at margins and padding - If they say anything other than 0em then you'll have space showing. I think you'll find it by opening the stylesheet file and searching for header wrapper, but I'm not sure about that. I just remember that when I started I found a theme close to what I liked, installed it, and then took the stylesheets and made changes to each setting one at a time - checking the site after each one to see what changed, writing down what colors showed with each change to the colors on the sheet etc.
Good Luck!
Ok, so I edited this code on the stylesheet, and it seems to work, I'm just not sure if it is going to break something else I am missing. Any ideas?
That shouldn't break anything.
Editing the stylesheet won't break anything. Put in the wrong number and it will change your black letters to day-glo orange, or your font from size 10 Helvetica to 3" high flashing gothic. So you just undo your change and try a different number. As long as you've got the original stylesheet to fall back on, you can't go wrong.
