Adding a link on my shop to advertise a craft fair

Hi, All,
i am wanting to advertise a craft fair my wife will be doing next saturday. I will like to use a link via an image if possible, How and where is it best to place this, and what files would i need to amend?

You could use the 'Sponsors' banner sidebox for that, replacing the Zencart image(s) with the one you want to use to promote the fair, linked to their site. I would probably move it to the top of that column for as long as the promotion lasts.

Do you mean i can position the box above the new products box, thus making it more prominent? I can go with that! cool!
Where do i find the code and how do i do it?
If that is not asking too much? it would be much appreciated.

The sideboxes are arranged by changing the sort order in Admin - Tools - Layout Boxes Controller.

Hi, i've rejigged the layout of the sideboxes using the layout, in admin, I've changed the heading in "english.php", now where do i add the link to take my customers to the "ukcraffairs" web site?
I've changed the text, but nothing seems to happen, what does it do?

If you're using the Sponsors sidebox, you would add your content in Admin - Tools - Banner Manager. It looks a little complicated at first, but it isn't that bad once you've worked with it. My suggestion would be to delete all but one of the existing banners and use the remaining one as an example. There's a tutorial on banners in the FAQ/Tutorials section.
