PayPal Order to Pending until approved by Site Admin then Process it.

I am rather new to the ZenCart world, and am trying to figure out, is it possible for PayPal IPN for certain products, to set the order to pending (take all the information and what not and not process the payement) until the order has been approved by an administrator?

Since the client I have has items that the customer needs to be age verified for.

1. It is strongly advised to use the Express Checkout module instead of the IPN module, regardless of the situation you describe. The EC technology is much more reliable than PayPal's IPN approach.

2. Whichever module you choose in Zen Cart, click Edit in that module's settings and change the "Order Status" pulldown to "Pending". That will make ALL purchases paid using that module to be set into "Pending" status, which will mean the customer has no access to the purchased goods until the store administrator manually goes into the order and updates the status to something else like Processing or Shipped.
There is no built-in option for changing this setting on a per-product basis. You could write custom code for that, but then you need to also consider how to handle a case where the customer purchases more than one product and the combination of settings for each of those products, etc.
