Default How to support multiple languages? Thanks.

I wonder how do I have my site supports multiple languages? i.e. Put language icons or text link on top of the menu for user to select.

Please note the “简 繁 ENG” on right top menu is not clickable, it is just a background image that I temporarily copied from other site.

    Thank you very much.

Having the language choice in the top menu is not a Zen Cart native function - you need to discuss that with your template provider.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Discuss with template provider means making payment to her, very high and she is too busy to answer question/or beyond my ability to pay for the hourly charge.

Maybe I can create an extra first line for the whole website pages, and the extra first line includes language selection? Is that feasible? if yes, how do I do it?

Thank you very much for your advice.

    The languages don't "magically" appear.
There is not a google translate feature.

For each language you want to support you need to install the appropriate language pack.
Only then can a customer select it.
As well for each language you need to add the appropriate text.

eg: Install four extra languages. (Five total inc English)
You need to add 5 versions (languages) of the product descriptions for each product.

There is a language selector sidebox that you can enable in Tools > Layout Boxes Controller. (It is only useful after you have installed language packs.) If you want the selector function in the header, then you need custom code.

It is actually possible with clever CSS manipulation to make that language sidebox appear to be in the header. This does not require any custom PHP code, only a new stylesheet rule.
