Still Blank - Can't Finish Install

Now, I know there have been a number of threads with a similar problem as mine - i.e. I can't finish the install. It returns a blank page after I agree to the terms and it is supposed to do an inspection, etc.

I have read all the threads regarding this. I have been over everything dozens of times.

I downloaded different zips of the files from different mirrors.
I checked and rechecked all the file permissions - I have changed them with my FTP program and I tried it using SSH.
I have php ver 5.3 on my server.
I am using php that uses MySql databases on this server.
(MySql version is 5.0.89)

I've followed all the instructions - there must be some kind of incompatibility but I'm spent trying to figure it out.

I would try reloading the files, it looks like you have corrupt or missing files ...

I've loaded and reloaded more than a couple of times. Downloaded the whole file set from more than one server. Is there a complete file listing somewhere? At this point I would be willing to go over it again and again.

Who are you hosting the site with?

Some hosts (quite a few in fact) are not set up properly to run sophisticated platforms like eCommerce.

We install 4 to 5 ZC sites a month, and we never have any problems whatsoever... largely due to the fact that we host ONLY with a reliable and knowledgeable host.

I have a VPS running Free BSD. It's set up to run anything. I have installed other shopping cart programs... I liked the features (and cost) of ZenCart.

I must be missing a setting on something. The php.ini file maybe? I don't know. It's not even a MySql database issue yet... haven't even gotten that far.

What would cause the inspection return a blank? Can any admins send me a file list?

I've never had to set up a site on a server running freeBSD, so I can't advise.

Do you have other hosting - on a UNIX/LINIX system?

If you have a site somewhere on such a box, then create a sub-directory on that site and load ZC into that. Use one of the software packages you unzipped and tried on your VPS.

FreeBSD is for all intents and purposes... UNIX.


I still think it may be a path problem with one of the zc files or setting in my php.ini.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Is anything showing up in the server's error log?

Delete this file and see what happens.
