Hi there,
I don't know if this was talked about before but I didn't see any threads regarding this...because it seems not a lot of people differentiated calculating GST and PST.
So, I was wondering if you or anyone else could help me setup the PST/QRT for the provinces.
Manitoba has GST of 5% and PST of 5%, and so does Saskatchewan.
PEI has 5% GST and 10% PST, and Quebec has 5% GST and 5% QRT.
For example: http://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/entrep...s/default.aspx
As you can see, the QRT is added including the price plus the GST.
But when I set up my taxes according to the instructions on https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=75, it only added the 2 taxes together as a sum of 10% of the price (P).
But actually, it should be the (P x 5%) + [(P+ (P x 5%)) x 8.5%] rate, which I don’t know how to translate that and implement that on Zencart.
This tax calculation is the same for PEI as seen in http://www.taxandland.pe.ca/index.php3?number=76948
So, its simply not just a sum of the GST & PST to get the total.
Please help! Thank you!
