Adding Attributes to Mulitple products

Does anyone know how to add attributes to multiple products within any one category or sub-category. I've read the tutorial and the 'how to' post on the forum but am not doing something right cause its not working. They are only display only attributes if that helps.

I've defined the option names and option values and have added them to 2 products but it would be helpful if I can add them to multiple products at one time.

you would not the able to select products. however you can just use copy to category , which will copy attributes to all products in the category.
