Help with tpl_top_nav.php in Black Pure Free template

I'm looking for some help positioning my google +1 icon to the right hand side of my page. I have managed to incorporate it within the top nav of the Black Pure Free template. I am happy that it is to the right of the checkout and shopping cart but I would like it aligned with the right hand side of the page. Also, I cannot seem to get it to align centrally (top and bottom) between the dotted line and the navigation bar.

I've copied what I think is the relevent code below and you can see the issue here www.potsofceramics.com (I've cut the contents of the td code as marked, it's to do with language selection which I don't have installed.

I'm grateful for any input, i've been messing with CSS all afternoon to try and fix it.

Where does it go when you put alignment in this line?

Interesting, it's gone to the extreme right of the page, and sticks out on my screen. Thanks for that its a start, I'll have a bit mess on with it.
