I am in process of upgrading from Zen Cart 1.3.7 to 1.3.9h. Did the database structure change? Can I use existing database or do I need to alter it? Thank you.

For that upgrade you'll need to carefully follow the instructions in the doc folder with the 1.39h release. It's a much bigger move than from 1.39g to 1.39h.
