Default Forum Integration with EZ pages

Has anyone tried to intergrate a forum like phpbb or smf within ez pages?

Sounds like a bad idea. EZ-Pages is designed to allow the quick creation of static pages. Forums (and the two you mentioned in particular) are very demanding dynamic applications.

There are some that are specifically intended to be lightweight and embeddable into existing sites. I saw one a few months back (struggling to remember the name, but will keep trying) that worked like this. But even then, it would make more sense to integrate it into a regular page than one with the Ez-Pages overhead.

OK. The forum that I was thinking of is VanillaForums.

I've never used it before, but between the last post and this, I found it, side-stepped the .com hosted version, downloaded and installed it, discovered the documentation for embedding it, realised that was wrong (the plugin needed is now shipped with the main download), enabled the plugin, did some basic configuaration and integrated it into a clean install of Zen Cart.

It's usable in its current state, though if I were going to use it on a live site, I'd want to more styling and turn off side boxes for my new forum page (a re-use of Zen Cart's page_2). But overall, pretty straightforward.
