send copy of create account emails to not working

I have my email set in config - email options- send copy of create account but was not notified when new account was created? Only just found them now by accident while in admin.

it's working now- i neglected to turn the above option to on in tandem.

but still would like to know when it says format:

Name 1 <[email protected]>, Name 2 <[email protected]>

Do you have to put two emails? and do you have to have a name 1 and 2 to make it work and do you have to do it for all the listings in
config---email settings.


why can't you just have [email protected] without name or brackets- would it still work>?
