hi DrByte so i did i clean install again and mannaged to find out wich file is making my admin area blank storeadmin/includes/functions/general.phpin winmerge they both yellow in compaire file include in attachment

Your general.php file is damaged. Replace it with the original from the Zen Cart distribution zip.

Yes, uploading php files in binary can cause problems.

ive got this problem stil [26-Feb-2012 00:52:16] PHP Warning: define() expects at least 2 parameters, 1 given in /home/admin/transponder.co.za/includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php on line 17
and everything looks alright in meta_tags.php and another thing i noticed i my layout_controller.php come up blank but file exactly the same as original zencart file

You need to fix the error on line 17 of that file.
